The dragonfish (grammatostomias flagellibarba) can be found in most tropical regions around the world, but living at depths up to 1500 meters deep. It grows to only about 15 cm and has a large head that contains many sharp, fang-like teeth. A barbel attached to its chin is tipped with a light-producing organ that it uses as a lure to catch fish. It uses these photophores that are also found along the side of its body when mating.
